» Ashampoo DiscForge Anvil SDK

The Ashampoo DiscForge Anvil SDK is a flexible and full featured burning component. It was designed with a wide range of software applications in mind, such as office products, system tools or multimedia applications. The component tries to protect the programmer from the complexities of disc recording wherever it is possible. As a result, very little knowledge about recording technology is required to use the Anvil component and everything "just works".

Easy integration

  • Self-contained DLL with simple C functions.
  • No ActiveX or COM is used.
  • The component does not have to be registered with the operating system to be used. It is possible (and in fact strongly recommended) to simply copy the DLLs into the application's program directory and use them from there.
  • Import libraries for Microsoft Visual C++, Borland C++ Builder and GCC (Mingw) are included.
  • Both UNICODE and code-paged (ANSI) strings are supported.

Comprehensive set of recording functions

  • Supported media types: BD-R, BD-RE, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+R DL, DVR+RW, DVD-R, DVD-R DL, DVD-RW, DVD-RAM
  • Burn Data CDs/DVDs/Blu-ray Discs, Audio CDs, Video CDs, Super Video CDs
  • Create and burn disc images (ISO, Cue/Bin, ashdisc)
  • Copy CDs/DVDs/Blu-ray Discs
  • Extract audio tracks
  • Erase rewritable discs (CD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-RW, DVD-RAM, BD-RE)

High compatibility

  • Thousands of CD, DVD and Blu-ray recorders are currently supported.
  • Anvil uses a generic driver concept, so new drives will usually also work out-of-the-box.
  • We continually add explicit support for those new drives for which generic drivers cannot work.
  • The recording engine has been developed and updated for almost a decade, so it not only supports current state-of-the-art drives, but also lots of older models.
  • Operating systems: Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000 and XP.
